Chapter 3
(Day 1)

Her heart was beating erratically.

Just 1 week Khushi! Just remember that.

She practically ran through the doors of AR. She didn't care about all the looks that many were giving her. Probably wondering, who the disaster queen is? Could she blame them? Imagine a woman running in a saree. The impression was a bad one and the first impression is what counts the most right? Well fortunately or unfortunately this was not Khushi's first impression. Having worked at AR before, most of the colleagues recognized her.

Was that a good or a bad thing? Only god knows!

Khushi ran up the stairs and went straight into Arnav's office. The noise was loud enough to make Arnav look up from his file.

Khushi: I'm on time!

He briefly assessed her outfit, from her necklace to her shoes. She looked stunning as usual, and after her little marathon she was heavily breathing. He noticed her bosoms heave up and down in like an erotic dance. These exchanges happened in the mere 2 seconds. He finally looked up to meet her eyes, her light brown orbs. She was probably congratulating herself to make it on time.

However once a pact has been made with the devil - only the devil wins.

He smirked at this idea. He glanced at his watch, and once again looked at her.

Arnav: You are late.

It was these 3 words that turned Khushi's smile upside down. She stared at him, ready to protest. However Arnav knew her intentions well.

Arnav: It is 9:01! You were supposed to arrive her at sharp 9 o'clock.
Khushi: But it's only 1 minute.
Arnav: That is not my concern. You are late. Now go outside, knock on my door and do not come in until I tell you.

Khushi stared at Arnav angrily but she knew that she won't win this battle. She looked away for a moment and then stepped outside the cabin. She then knocked. 

Khushi: May I come in SIR?

She gave more emphasis on the word "SIR" which did not go unnoticed by Arnav. He smirked at her attitude. 

Oh this week will be fun! he thought. 

Arnav: Come in!

She stepped in the cabin once again, ready to blast him for his smirk. However before she could, she saw him get up from his table and walk towards him with a mischievous glint in his eyes. It made her involuntary shudder.

She stepped back as he stepped forward. Soon, her back hit the glass door while he stepped forward, caging her in. With a pull of the string, the blinds were closed so nothing could be seen from outside the cabin.

Khushi's heartbeats increased by his action. She felt that the heartbeats were loud enough to be heard by both of them. His eyes captured her form - her raised eye-brows, her red nose, her quivering lips and her red cheeks. His eyes settled back on hers. 

Arnav: So Miss. Khushi Kumari Gupta? We have already discussed that you were late, so what can you do for me now? Or the better question is what should your punishment be?

Khushi: Siirrrrr......

Khushi stammered. His gaze was distracting her, intimidating her. 

Arnav: So Miss. Gupta what should your punishment be? 

His eyes looked suggestively at her rosy lips - waiting to be kissed. 

He was going to bend slightly forward and kiss the day-lights out of her when she closed her eyes tightly and clutched her saree tightly at the sides and a shivered gently. He could feel that she wasn't comfortable with this physical intimacy - and never had Arnav Singh Raizada forced a girl. Mainly they would come to him, like a moth to a flame. 

Correction - not girl, woman. She was a woman in many ways - which he could clearly see. Her swelled breasts, her rosy lips, her soft and sensual skin. These were proof of how feminine Khushi was. She was a seductress - who can lure any man into her grasps.

Arnav stepped away from her. She was a temptation that he didn't want to cross just yet. It wouldn't be right. 

Khushi was feeling very nervous. She knew what his intentions were. However when she didn't feel anything she opened her eyes and saw him standing away from her with his back towards her. She then heard him. 

Arnav: At the moment, arrangements of the fashion show are going on. The fashion show will take place in two weeks. This black file has a list of all the dresses that are being presented in fashion show. This blue file has a list of models taking part in the fashion show. I want you to call in the models personally and double check that each dress has proper fitting. Go-over every detail in these two files and make sure that there is no mistake. 

Lunch is at 2 o'clock for one hour. As you were late today - you will work one more hour after office hours. Everyone leaves at 5 but you will leave at 6. Also Miss. Gupta, you will work directly under me! Screw this up and there will be big consequences! Understood?

Khushi nodded meekly. 

Arnav: Good! You may go. 
Khushi: But Sir, I don't have a desk. 
Arnav: You don't need a desk. If you need to sit down, use my cabin. 
Khushi: Okay Sir.

Khushi left. 

As soon as Khushi left, Arnav's resolve broke. He sighed. Maybe the joke was on him. No he had motives and he will definitely achieve them. 

I can't believe I gave her such an important task! I couldn't give her anything else to do. I couldn't get her to just answer calls all day could I? Thats what others do. Oh god. I need to find some job for her. Let's just hope she doesn't screw this up, thought Arnav.

It was nearly lunch time and Khushi couldn't been seen. Arnav stepped outside of his cabin and saw that Aman and Khushi were happily eating on a table together with Akash. He raced down the stairs and went into the canteen. Aman and Akash immediately stood up, while Khushi remained seated. 

First of all, Aman and Akash were shocked. They had never seen the ASR enter the canteen and today he was here.

Akash: Bhai, aap yaha? 
Aman: Sir. 
Arnav: What? It's lunch time. Why are you guys looking so shocked?

He dragged a chair and sat next to Khushi. Aman and Akash sat down again. Akash ordered some food, while Aman was still looking at his boss fearfully. Akash came back. 

Arnav: Akash how are the preparations going for the show?
Akash: They are going beautifully - mainly because of Khushi ji. You know the whole morning she went through each and every detail. She also got all the measurements done with each model. 
Arnav: Hmm...!

Yeh Lard Governor koi compliment bhi nahi deh sakte! Hmm kahike! thought Khushi.

Aman: Yes Sir - only the ramp walks have to be scheduled. I have organised that for tomorrow. Sir, you have a meeting at 3.10 with out clients. 
Arnav: Okay. 

Lunch time ke waqt bhi sirf kaam ki baate! I am definitely having lunch outside tomorrow! Hmm...the road chaat was looking really good or maybe the gol gappe! thought Khushi dreamily.

Arnav looked at Khushi - she was staring into space. 

Arnav: Khushi, are you okay?
Khushi: Huh...yes sir. 
Arnav: Okay good. 

Lunch ended at a quick note. Khushi finished all of her work and was sitting in Arnav's cabin. Arnav was away in a meeting. She was waiting for him so she could ask him what work she could do next. She suddenly noticed a peice of paper and some pencils. She smiled and took them and began designing the wedding dress of her dreams. She has always wanted such a wedding dress. She began drawing. 

Time flew by. It was 6 o'clock yet Arnav had not still come from the meeting. Most of the employees had left at 5 but at Khushi was busy drawing, she didn't notice the time. She was nearly finished but she felt that something was missing for the blouse.

In the mean time, Arnav entered the office cabin. The meeting had been long. He had almost forgot about Khushi. He saw her seated at his desk - pouting. She looked too cute. He went closer and saw that she was busy thinking something. He was now standing behind her. His gaze lifted to see what she was heavily concentrating on. 

He saw the design. Such strokes were only done by the best designers who did masters in fashion designing and who had an eye for detail. The combination of the color was perfect but unlike Khushi he realised what was missing in the design. He slowly bent down from behind her, grabbed the pencil from her hand and drew in the blouse cuts a bit more deeply.

Khushi gaped at him. She stood up scared. 

Khushi: Umm....I am sorry Sir. I was bored so began to draw. Nothing else. 

Arnav looked at her worried expressions and a sudden thought came to his mind. He nodded at her. 

Arnav: Khushi, it's late! I will drop you home come. 
Khushi: Okay. 

She was about to reach for the design to take it home but his voice stopped her. 

Arnav: Leave that on my desk and let's go. 

Khushi just followed. Arnav dropped her home. 

He now knew what he had to do. Everything became very crystal clear. 

He smirked. 

Khushi Kumari Gupta wouldn't know what hit her.
