Chapter 4: Locked

It was an extremely long day for both Geet and Khushi, especially after the whole class room episode. Mr. Handa wasn't too happy as he was the principle with the teacher but let them off by giving them a warning. Geet was happy that at least her Dad listened to her and backed her up instead of that lousy teacher who doesn't even know how to teach. The students were impressed with the way geet answered the teacher and were now friends with her, as they needed someone like her to support the new students. The faculty were also impressed with her and gave her the thumbs up. They needed a student who thinks about others rather than themselves.

As for Khushi, most teachers were impressed with her on her understanding capabilities, and her intellectual skills. Not only she managed to answer every question in depth but she also managed to answer each and every question with her own knowledge and understanding which made her stand out of the class. Apart from the morning fiasco, she was confident at what she was doing and she obviously visited the library.

The college was over and most students went home except a few such as Maan, Arman, Arnav, Riddhima, Geet, Khushi, Dia, Romeo and Pari. Geet and Khushi had decided to stay as they wanted to explore the school when it was nice and quiet, and Khushi wanted to visit the library where as Geet wanted to go to the basketball court. Riddhima had an assignment to do so she stayed back knowing that Arman will never help her. Maan had to practice basketball and Arnav also wanted to do a few more assignments.

Maan, Arman & Arnav were sitting in the canteen with Dia, Pari & Romeo.

Dia: Look at her guts and the way she answered that teacher. (They were talking about Geet and her morning encounter with that teacher).

Pari: Yeah...I mean everyone is talking about it.

Maan: Guys...it wasn't her fault at all okay.

Arman: Oh so Mr. Romeo is finally talking, you were supposed to make her like you not the other way around!!

Arnav: Oh shut up Arman. He is actually right, what Geet did was good as it is all Maan's fault. She kind of saved him in a way, and as for Khushi she was as innocent as anyone can be.

Arman: Was your fault?

Maan: Yeah I was supposed to throw the piece of paper to Arnav but it landed on Khushi instead and Geet being more protective she was just looking out for Khushi which was nothing wrong. I was about to stand up and explain but Geet beat me to it.

Dia: So what? Big deal the London express team think that they can do whatever they want but not for long. We have to show them who is the boss?

Maan: Look they are not that bad as they may seem. 
Pari: Look maan, we know that you want to be friends with them more than us but still.

Romeo: Yeah, come on Maan you have to win the bet.

Maan: Oh whatever.

Arnav: What are you guys going to do?

Dia: That you will see.

They soon dispersed, amongst themselves, Arnav went to the library and Maan went to the basketball court to do some practice where as Arman went with Dia, Pari and Romeo to implement his plans.

Maan arrived at the basketball court to see an enticing sight in front of him. Geet was dressed up in a red sleeveless t-short and knee length jogging bottoms. Her hair was tied up and and she was dribbling effortlessly and then she threw the ball and she scored. She soon did some awesome passes that takes ages to master and soon scored more. Maan soon came out of reverie to see her sweating and then grabbing some water. Maan came forward and came close to her but Geet still couldn't see her and she was facing away from her. Maan came close to her and whispered in her ears.

Maan: You know this game is only enjoyed when paying against someone (Geet gasped and turned around to face Maan).

Geet stared at Maan, he was wearing a black vest and his black tracks.

Geet: Maan?

Maan: Yes Geet (He smirked seeing her flustered, he saw her checking out his body and that just boosted his ego) I didn't know you played basketball.

Geet: You never asked.

Maan walked towards her and bounced the ball out of her hands, and then threw the ball effortlessly in into the basket, while he was standing half a court across.

Maan: Think you can beat me?

Geet: I know this game at the back of my hand.

Maan: I take that as a challenge. I will warn you now that Maan Singh Khurana never looses.

Geet: Oh really? Well there is a first time for everything, as you see I have never learnt to loose.

Maan: I guess then we will have to play but first let set some rules.

Geet: Rules?

Maan: Why are you scared already?

Geet: I am not scared of anyone.

Maan: Ok then Miss. Handa, If I win you have to do what I say.

Geet: And what if I win?

Maan: Then I will do what you want me to agreed?

Geet: Fine.

They both shook hands, and stood at the center of the court ready to start there game.

Mean while, Arnav arrived at the Library and saw Khushi standing on a ladder trying to reach a book.

Arnav: What the? What is she trying to do? Khushi'

Khushi was happily trying to reach for a book called "Freakenomics" for some light reading to help her understanding about the subject, but then she heard a voice and she lost her balance and was about to wall and hit the ground. "Argghhh" Khushi screamed and closed her eyes, when she felt some strong hands across her waist holding her safely so that she would never fall.

Khushi opened her eyes to see the most beautiful sight, she was in Arnav's arms.

Arnav: Are you all right?

Khushi: Hmm (said Khushi, trying to formulate an answer)

Arnav put her down carefully, then turned to face her.

Arnav: What the hell were you trying to do? Tum gir jaati tho?

Khushi: Tho Chot lagti.

Arnav: What the? Your unbelievable Miss. Khushi Kumari Gupta.

Khushi: Why are you shouting at me? Hum girhe toh nahi na?

Arnav: That's because I saved you. 

Khushi: And why did you scare me from behind haan? What was the need? I didn't even get the book that I wanted to all because of you. Hey devi maiyaa, now I have to stand on that ladder again.

She started to climb the ladder when she was jerked into Arnav's strong arms. She gasped and looked up at him innocently.

Arnav: What are you trying to do haan? Climb up the ladder so that you can fall again! I am not going to save you every-time!

Khushi: Leave me...I was trying to get that book and I still want it. If it wasn't for you trying to scare me then I would have got the book in the first place.

Arnav: KHUSHI...just shut up and sit down.

Khushi silently sat down annoyed, that she couldn't get the book that she wanted, but didn't want him to shout at her further. He saw her sitting down and turned to the book shelf. He reached up easily because of his height and got the book out for her. He then strode over to her and gave her the book.

Arnav: Yeh lo...(Khushi looked at the book and a a Big smile appeared on her face) By the way what do you want this book for anyway?

Khushi: For some bedtime reading.

Arnav: It is a good book, if you like economics in basic life. (Arnav passed the book to her)

Khushi: Hmm..

They both sat down and did some work together, silently, staring into the books.

On the other hand, Arman, Dia & Pari were hooking up their plan.

Dia: So Arman are we all clear? You know what to right?

Arman: Yes Princess...now can I go?

Just then Romeo came running.

Romeo: Guys that girl is coming.

Pari: Did you see her properly?

Romeo: She was wearing a salwar suit with long black hair'it is dark so I couldn't see her face'she is in that class room right now'

Dia: GO ARMAN GO!!

Arman: Yeah...I am going, seriously what is hurry?

Arman went in and shut the door quietly. The other's locked the door from the outside.

Riddhima wanted to study and she knew one classroom which had computers in it. So she went inside to do the assignment. She heard someone come inside, so she turned around. She couldn't see his face as the room was still dark as she had just entered the room.

Riddhima: Who is there?

Arman: Oh sweetheart...I know you want me...I saw you checking me out the other day.

Riddhima: Just Shut up and leave me alone. How dare you say something like that? Do you even know who I am?

Arman: Ofcourse I know. I met you today and yesterday didn't I? And sweetheart you have such a memory loss but how about a kiss to remind you ehh?

Riddhima: HOW DARE YOU?

Arman couldn't see her but just assumed that he was talking to Geet. He came closer to her and pulled her.

Arman: Shh...sweety...! Kisi ko kuch nahi pata chalega...!

Riddhima lost control her last bit of control, so she pushed Arman and then she went to switch on the lights. Soon as she switched on the lights, she was shocked.

Riddhima: Ahh...Arman...!

Arman: Basket?

They were both speechless, and stood glaring at each other.
