Chapter 22

It was a new day with a new dawn, new relationships. Khushi was still confused with Arnav’s behaviour, since last night, he was behaving weirdly, not that she minded it but it was confusing her to some extent. This morning too he was behaving unusually. Khushi was making breakfast downstairs with HP, when she had finished, she headed upstairs. She opened the door and walked inside, only to bump into a hard figure. She closed her eyes suddenly, waiting to hit the floor but it never came. She felt a small water drop on her cheek. She opened her eyes to see the desiring eyes of her husband, standing bare chested with a towel around his neck. His wet hair, and his after shave making him smell completely masculine. He looked like the statue of Adonis, a Greek god which descended to earth just for her. He was like the true alpha male, with masculinity oozing out of every cm of his skin. They shared a long eye-lock but then soon realization hit them.

Arnav let go of her slowly, making her stand slowly. The old Arnav would have shouted at her and told her that she should be watching where she was walking, but this Arnav walked up to her slowly, with a predatory glint in his eyes, slowly closing in on her, trapping her against the wall.

Khushi....Arnav whispered huskily.

Yes....Khushi whispered back. His proximity always had a devilish effect on her which she couldn’t understand. Her heartbeat increased ten-folds and her breathing became heavier.

Main....he whispered, moving his hand, to her waist.

Aap...she said.

Main....he repeated slowly, his hand slightly squeezing her waist.

Hmm...Khushi said trying to urge him to continue with what he was saying, but her thoughts were being side-tracked to the manly feel of his fingers. They were tantalizing her senses. Khushi closed her eyes taking in the sensations, she had no desire for him to stop what he was doing.

Main office ja raha hoon...Nani ko kehdena!...he said in one quick sentence and he immediately let go of her, chuckling loudly. Khushi’s eyes flew open as his laughter chimed in her ears. She saw the most amazing sight ever, his smile. But then she realised that he was laughing at her. So she stomped away, smashing the door shut, but even then the ASR was still laughing at her shocked expressions.

After half an hour later Arnav left for work, while Khushi left for college.

Riya and Lavanya both saw her. They waved her over. Khushi happily skipped to the group sitting in the canteen. 

How are you? asked Riya. 

Yeah we missed you like hell said La. 

Sorry, guys. I was really busy lately, answered Khushi. 

Oh really? See, i thought I was the quiet one, but you proved me wrong. Come on tell us, we are your friends. What are you hiding from us? said Riya, cheekily. 

What? said Khushi. 

Come on Khushi yaar...keh bhi do na! said NK.

What are you guys talking about? asked Khushi. 

Guys, if she doesn't want to say it, why are we forcing her? said Arjun, after seeing her uncomfortable from the questions. 

But what are you guys talking about? I don't even understand. Would someone please clarify? said Khushi getting a little annoyed. 

Well actually Khushi, you know Simran right? The girl in our business class? asked La.

Yeah!

Well, she went on holiday to Italy in her holidays, and she said that she saw you there with a man, roaming the Colosseum, explained riya. 

Khushi looked up at them surprised. She was at a loss of words. 

Did she see the man? asked Khushi. 

No, she could only see the back of him, as he was facing the other way said La. 

Wait is that true? Did you go to Italy? Do you have a boyfriend? asked La, while Khushi flinched slightly.

Yes, I did go to Italy and No he is not my boyfriend said Khushi quietly. 

So who is he? asked Riya curiously.

He is my husband. 

There was a gasp from everyone. 

What? exclaimed La. 

You are married? shouted Riya, while NK and Arjun had their mouths open.

SHHHH....what is someone heard you? No-one can know this! said Khushi.

Khushi then told them from the beginning about herself and Arnav and how it was an arranged marriage. She left out the Shanaya part and Arnav's name. Her friends stood shocked. They were sad that she had suffered so much but were happy now that everything had been resolved. 

So who is my jijaji? asked Riya. 

I will get you to meet him soon, but not now! Nani is still re-covering, said Khushi. 

We understand replied Arjun.

Wow...so you were on your honeymoon. So what happened? asked La. 

Khushi's cheeks turned red at the mention of honeymoon. 

Aww...she is so cute said Riya. 

God - I can't believe your married said NK. 

Neither can I, but I love every minute of it said Khushi. 

Riya and La hugged their friend who was blatantly in love. 

Wait do you love him? asked La. Khushi nodded. 

But I don't know if he loves me. It is complicated said Khushi. 

Everything will be fine darling! said La.

Otherwise we will come and hunt him down! said Arjun cheekily. Khushi laughed as she imagined all her friends fighting Arnav. Now that would be funny.

It was lunch time, Khushi returned from college. It was one of the best days, although she was angry at Arnav for the morning incidence, his laughter actually made her happier. She didn't know why but it just did. She entered the mansion to see Nani pacing around restlessly.

What happened Nani is everything alright? Khushi said.

Ji bete...it’s just that all the drivers are out with their cars and I have to send Arnav’s lunch over to the office but I don’t know who with! Payal has also gone out with her friends and there is no sign of Anjali whatsoever. said Nani.

Nani yeh bhi koi poochne wali baat hain? I will go and give it....said Khushi solving her problems in a quickie.

Are you sure bete? Said Nani.

Ji Nani...but just tell me where the office is! said Khushi.

Then Nani explained where the office is. Khushi then headed off to the office. It was 12 o’clock right now and she reached at 12:30. Khushi reached the office. She stood outside at the gate, watching the big office that stood like a tower in front of her. At that instant moment, she felt proud, proud to be Arnav’s wife, proud of her husband. She then entered the office, an then was escorted to the reception. She saw the receptionist munching on a packet of crisps. She smiled instantly.

Excuse me....? Pinky the receptionist looked up to see a girl standing in a simple salwar suit.

Hi...I am pinky....said pinky chirpily.

Hi...I am Khushi...I am here to meet Arnav. Can you please show me the direction of his cabin?

Arnav sir is in a conference at the moment but I can take you to his cabin. Pinky was about to take her but Sasha heard her conversation and walked straight up  to her, with Tasha following behind her.

Excuse me...who are you? And how dare you call ASR with his first name? Oh I know....I bet you are one of the cheap girls that are trying to make ASR fall in your trap right? A cheap slut..Have you looked at your self...a complete behnji!....said sasha, insulting her beyond means with tasha snickering.

ENOUGH....who are you to insult me like this? Have you seen your dress? It looks like your employer does not pay you enough that is why you are looking like this, exposing clothes you should dress up decently but no...you are here insulting me. Khushi said in a low voice.

How dare you insult me like this? Sasha was angered at this mere girls audacity. 

Pinky tell this girl that ASR is in conference and she can wait here if she wants but if she tries to go into the main office, then call the security. Sasha said and left immediately. Pinky looked on shocked at Sasha’s behaviour, she then turned to Khushi.

I am so sorry...we all think she has a crush on ASR....Pinky said trying to ease her anger and it worked.

Hmm...well you stay here...and as soon as Arnav Sir finishes his meetings I will tell him that you are here! But please don’t go anywhere...I might lose my job! Pinky said.

Yea...don’t worry! I won’t! Said Khushi and sat down on the sofa by the receptionist.

2 hours had passed but there was no sign of Arnav. It had seemed that he had disappeared. She had read about 4 magazines in that time and was still sitting there, in one position. Pinky was feeling really bad for Khushi, and that is when she saw Aman sir, walking down from the conference room. She knew that Aman sir would help her with her predicament.

She then walked over to Aman Sir and told him all the happenings. At first he was shocked that Sasha could do something like this, but then he felt sorry for Khushi. he rushed to the conference room where Arnav was sitting and he quickly wrote a note to him and passed it to him, explaining everything that had been going on downstairs for the past 3 hours. Arnav’s anger grew.

Ok that is it for today...Akash you finish with the clients, I have something important to attend. Arnav aid, getting up and leaving the conference room in a hurry.

He paced down the stairs in a hurry, angry that one of his employee could insult someone like that and guilty that his own wife had to wait this long to see him. He knew that he had to make amends.

Khushi was still sitting, flicking through various different magazines and waiting for Arnav to come. The office had been hustling and bustling. Arnav walked in furiously down by the reception. Pinky instantly stood up to greet her boss. Khushi still hadn't noticed him yet. Arnav stood by Pinky and said in a low voice.

Call Sasha and tell her to sit here for 3 hours and if she moves a muscle she will get fired today! said Arnav to Pinky, he then walked over to to Khushi and cleared his throat.

Khushi instantly looked up and then stood up to greet Arnav.

Hi..did you finish your conference? Said Khushi politely.

Hmm..shall we go to the cabin, said Arnav, he didn’t wait for her to respond but just took her hand leading her to his cabin.

They walked inside and Khushi was amazed by the cabin decor. The cabin was on the first floor, overlooking the entire office. His cabin was made out of glas , and was soundproof. There was a flat screen, nice black leather sofa’s. A huge glass table with 3 leather chairs. A big music system and a walk-in room attached to it. While Khushi was staring at the nice decor, Arnav closed the blinds and and locked the door, he even messaged pinky not to disturb him. He then walked over to Khushi and put his hand on her shoulder. She turned around and greeted him with a smile adorned on her face.

Hi, I came to give you your lunch.  He quietly went and sat down on his chair behind the desk and she opened the box and started to serve him.

Woh...I brought you lunch....! That’s why I came here said Khushi explaining to him about her arrival. She served him a plate and then was about to go and sit in a chair opposite him when she felt a strong pull and she landed on his lap. It took her a few seconds to work out what just happened. She then tried to get up but Arnav locked his hands around her waist, not letting her go. She became shy, her cheeks went beetroot red.

Where were you planning on going? Asked Arnav.

I was going to sit on the chair opposite but...replied Khushi.

No need...you can sit here with me! Look Khushi...I am really sorry that my employees behaved that harshly with you, and I will see to them later. But why did you wait for me for 3 hours, sitting on that hard sofa? asked Arnav genuinely.

Woh...you didn't have lunch so I brought it for you! said Khushi.

You could have called me....said Arnav.

But you were busy so I thought i would wait! Said Khushi.

Hmm....never wait for me until this much. And now you know where my cabin is so you can stay here..! said Arnav.

Nothing is more important then family understand, not even a deal! said Arnav.

Hmm....hummed Khushi.

But now please can you eat and let me go? I have to get back as well...Nani is probably waiting for me said Khushi.

Nope...I know you haven’t eaten as well....so don’t lie to me! We will eat together and then leave for home because I have now finished my work, said Arnav.

Saying that he lifted his hands to feed her gently. She then took a bite and fed him. Slowly slowly they both finished their late lunch.  Arnav was just holding her close, tickling her with his breath.

ARNAVVV...she purred with the sensations that he was creating within her.

Hmm....I like my name from your mouth, said Arnav huskily. That was when Khushi realised that she actually moaned in front of him, she was shy and was blushing, her cheeks became red tinted. 

Please chaliye na...! Khushi said.

Hmm...let’s go! Said Arnav.

Then Khushi packed up the food in the container and then they walked out the office, to see Sasha sitting on that sofa, where Khushi was sitting.

ASR...Sasha said but Arnav just walked away with Khushi not even bothered about Sasha.
