Just a few things to clarify:

• Both Arnav and Khushi want to maintain the distance because they want their relationship to build slowly rather than their physical desires take over.
• Both Arnav & Khushi were forced into this marriage - however they have strong attractions towards each other.
• Arnav has a troubled past which has made him like this today - however he is not a bad person. He always cares about the people he loves. 
• Mama & Mami are away on a trip to Australia to visit Arnav's cousin NK and they will soon be coming back. 

I hope this has cleared some confusion.

Chapter 14

Nani was sitting in her bedroom lost in deep thoughts, with a smug face.

I know Khushi..in a few hours to are going to be cursing HP but darling it’s not HP’s idea...it was mine! Nani thought to herself, smirking.

After all, I am Devyani Singh Raizada!

Khushi was going to get changed into something before the food arrived.

Khushi you should change in your night dress...you are tired na...phir I can go to sleep..straight after dinner. Yep I should get changed! She thought.

She opened the suitcase and was shocked beyond her wits. She took her night clothes out. She was just staring at it for some long time. It was a black lacy nightgown, with matching panties and bra and a bathrobe. Everything was placed neatly. There was a new lacy nightgown for every day of the honeymoon, gradually getting shorter and shorter. There were no salwar suit but just some nice heavy sarees and some short summer dresses which were knee-level.

Khushi slumped down on the bed, annoyed of what to do now.

Why did I let HP pack our bags for us? Now what shall I do? Arnav would be coming back any moment now! she thought.

She heard footsteps from outside, getting closer and closer so she quickly closed the suitcase and ran into the bathroom. She showered and changed into the revealing black night gown. She covered herself with the bathrobe and just stood infront of the mirror, feeling really embarrassed of how she will go out.

Arnav on the other hand, walked in and sat down in the room. He felt really hot in the room so took off his shirt and was just standing in his black vest. Soon the food arrived, but Arnav was waiting for Khushi, as it would have looked rude if he started to eat by himself, and although Arnav was rude and arrogant, he was a man who had manners that he learnt from his Nani.

Half-an hour passed and soon Arnav was getting frustrated that Khushi was not even coming out from the bathroom. Annoyed enough, he went upto the bathroom door and knocked.

KHUSHIIII...what is taking you so long? Can you please come out so that we can eat dinner! He said angrily. Khushi sensing his anger opened the door slightly to check what he was doing, she poked her head out but instantly, someone pulled her while pushing the door wide open. She fell onto a hard chest. She looked up feeling shocked, embarrassed and vulnerable at the same time.

Arnav on the other hand, couldn’t tell whether this girl in front of him was Khushi or not. She looked ravishing in a black lacy bathrobe which was coming to her knees. He stared at her for a long time, lost in her beauty. Her brown angelic eyes speaking volumes. His hand snaked around her waist and pulled her closer, making her wet hear flick his cheeks softly. He tucked her wet hair strands behind her ear.

Just then the hotel phone rang, breaking them two apart. They both stepped away feeling really awkward. Khushi went into the sitting room and sat on the sofa while Arnav answered the phone.

Hello said Arnav with a deep voice.

Sorry Sir for disturbing you but your grandmother is on the phone for you. I am transferring her right now! With that the receptionist transferred the call to Nani.

Hello...son!

Hi Nani said Arnav, trying to finish the call as soon as he could.

Arnav bete....you could have at least called after you landed in Italy, just letting me know that both of you have reached okay...you don’t know how worried I was, especially after Khushi, it was her first time travelling abroad, and please let me remind you that she is your responsibility.

I am sorry Nani, we were exhausted and just forgot to tell you! Said Arnav.

Hmm..its fine! I hope you have a good honeymoon, saying this she smirked and cut the phone, without even letting Arnav retort back.

Arnav sighed in relief and everything flooded back to him of what they were doing 10 minutes ago and how he was touching her and feeling her. He felt the strong attractions, between them. He felt bad on losing control over himself, especially with Khushi. He wanted their relationship to build first than just basing it on sexual pleasure. But what he got angry on was why was she even wearing something like that, in the outhouse she always wore salwar kameez in the night time, then why?

Thinking that he walked into the living room, wanting to question her. He was about to say something when he saw her lost into the surroundings. He gently tapped her on the shoulder. She looked up, and looked into his desire filled eyes, which a some guilt in them but she knew that he was trying to hide that well in his outer shell. She slowly got up, as if in a trance and they just stood there for a few seconds.

Khushi Arnav said softly.

Hmm...

Why are you wearing this? He asked. 

Hey devi mayyia, see even he noticed. This is all HP's fault, he packed the bags and now this is what I am stuck with, this is like the longest piece of clothing that's there. What else am I supposed to wear? And it is so cold...ufff babaji...please save! I will not leave that Kutha, Kamina, Haramchorr and etc. 

Khushi babbled on with her insults for the poor HP, while Arnav was just listening to her constant blabbering.  But after a while, he had enough and just jerked her and her hands were on his chest, as she was not prepared for the fall.

Shut up Khushi! He said huskily.

Don’t blame HP, it was probably Nani’s idea, because she only thinks about all these things, he said.

Hmm...Khushi managed to say.

Now...come and eat your food. You look fine, but next time don’t spend so much time looking at yourself in the bathroom mirror, because that bathrobe of yours isn't going to get any longer! He smirked while telling her, which Khushi just opened her mouth in an O shape, but soon let it go as she was really hungry.

They watched some TV and while having dinner quietly, as it was a good distraction from all the thoughts that were going in their heads at that moment. Soon it was time to sleep, both of them were really tired from their plane journey so they walked back to their bedroom.

This place is so big...so why can’t they fit in a second bedroom....seriously why don’t some of the architects think for some time? Khushi thought and pouted her lips.

They both walked towards the bed but then Khushi stopped. She looked around the room and saw a sofa and made her way to that instead, guessing that Arnav isn't probably going to let her sleep on the bed. Arnav noticed her walking towards the sofa and felt bad instantly.

No Arnav..don’t stop her! Let her go..that way you can maintain the distance! But why am I feeling bad, maybe with the way I behaved with her...no...what are you thinking? Just let her go, that way nothing would happen! No....but..it’s not her fault that we are stuck together is it...he thought, then finally made up his mind.

Umm...Khushi...you can sleep on the bed! He stated calmly.

Umm..no I am fine on the sofa...

No Khushi...you can sleep on the bed..

Maine kaha na...I want to sleep on the sofa...

KHUSHI...he then walked over to her and just picked her up in his arms and placed her on the bed.

Don’t you dare even think of getting up! Otherwise I will tie you to the bed! He said.

He then went to sleep on the other side calmly - knowing that Khushi was beside him. Both of them stayed awake for some time but then soon felt tired  and woke up to a new morning.
